Issue Description
KnowledgeLake cannot process documents that are password protected.
Issue Resolution
If the document you are working with does not require password protection, we recommend removing the password using one of the following methods.
Create a copy without a password
You can quickly create a duplicate of your document without a password by using the "Print to PDF" option within Adobe.
- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader and enter the document password.
- Select File and then Print.
- Select Microsoft Print to PDF in the Printer drop-down.
- Click Print. This will save a new PDF to the desired location without a password.
- Upload the new copy through the same process and the batch should arrive at its destination without erroring.
Remove the password from your original document
You can also remove the password from your original document if it is not required.
- Open the document in Adobe Acrobat.
- Click File.
- Hover over Protection and select Security Properties.
- In the Security Method drop-down, select No Security.
- Click OK.
- Save the Document.
