KnowledgeLake Gateway Service Requirements

In order to use the KnowledgeLake Gateway Service, you will want to ensure the following:

Hardware Requirements

• 2.5+ gigahertz (GHz) quad-core processor
• 8+ gigabyte (GB) RAM

Network Requirements

• Outbound communications on UDP port 123 allowed

Service Account Requirements

• Sufficient permissions to run a Windows service
• For a SharePoint On-Premise Destination
  • No additional requirements
• For SQL Data Source for Indexing
  
  • dbreader permissions to SQL if using Integrated Security
    
    NOTE: If using a SQL User, apply these permissions to the user configured in the Add a Source wizard.
• For SQL Data Source using Insert into Data Source
  • dbreader and dbwriter permissions to SQL if using Integrated Security
    
    NOTE: If using a SQL User, apply these permissions to the user configured in the Add a Source wizard.
• For Network File Share Destination
  
  • Write permissions to the Network path of your configured File Share
