Issue Description
When using Knowledgelake Native View or SharePoint Search to view a Multi-Page PDF file in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, the pages of the PDF appear blurry.
Issue Resolution
This issue is caused by a PDF setting called “Fast Web View” and appears when PDFs, with the Fast Web View setting disabled, are opened and viewed using the Browser PDF Viewer.
To resolve this issue, you will need to:
- Download or Export the PDF from the Repository/Library that it is in.
- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- In Adobe, go to Edit at the Top Ribbon.
- In the Documents Tab of the Edit page, look for Save Settings, and you will see “Save As optimizes for Fast Web View”. Ensure this setting is checked.
- Save the PDF.
- Upload and replace the original PDF in the Repository/Library with the new version of the document.
After following these steps, the pages of the PDF should no longer appear blurry when viewing in the Browser PDF Viewer.
