Using The Scan App On A Shared Machine
As of this writing, the best practice for multiple users scanning from one machine is to ensure that each user logs out of the machine when they have finished their scanning. Below is a sample scenario:
- User 1: Log-in, scan, and log out.
- User 2: Log-in, open the Windows Task Manager, navigate to the KnowledgeLake Desktop Client process, right-click, and select End Task.
-
User 2: navigate to KnowledgeLake's Scan app in the browser as normal and refresh the page a few times until the Scanner functions as expected.
- Once User 2 has completed their scanning, they will log out.
- User 1: Log in and refresh the KnowledgeLake Scan app page a few times. They will then be able to scan as expected.
Once complete, you can continue to Scanning Documents in Scan.
