Widgets

If you would prefer to be able to access items like the batch grid, the upload app, or even custom locations from your KnowledgeLake landing page, you can utilize widgets to personalize your KnowledgeLake experience.

Customization Options

To customize the KnowledgeLake landing page:

1. Load your KnowledgeLake URL.
2. Click the Edit Widgets () button in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.

From here, you can do the following to existing app tiles and widgets:

• Click and drag an app tile to a new position.
• Change the size of your app tiles by using the Expand and Shrink buttons ().
• Remove an app tile using the Delete Widget button ().
• Save your landing page configuration by pressing the Save Widgets button ().

You can also change your landing page by using the following:

• Add a new widget or app tile using the Add Widget button () in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
  
• Restore your default landing page by pressing the Restore Default Widget Layout button ().

Add Widget

There are new widgets you can add to your landing page that are not just the default app tiles. To add a new widget, click Add Widget using the instructions above and follow the instructions for each widget type below.

Application Tile

If you need to add or re-add an app tile to your landing page:

1. Select Application Tile from the Add a Widget
2. Choose the App you would like a tile for from the drop-down.
3. Click Save.

Empty Space

If you want to insert empty space onto your landing page to rearrange your widgets:

1. Select Empty Space from the Add a Widget
2. Click Save.
3. Move and use the Expand and Shrink buttons to position your new Empty Space.
4. Click Save Widgets to save your empty space.

Custom Widget

If you would like an app tile that links to a URL of your choice:

1. Select Custom Widget from the Add a Widget
2. Enter a Title and a URL you would like to link to.
3. Select whether you would like to open the link in a new tab.
4. Link to an Image URL you would like the app tile to display.
   NOTE: PNG and JPEG Files that are perfectly square are recommended.
5. Click Save
6. Move your new tile to it’s desired location.
7. Click Save Widgets to save your landing page.

Quick Upload

You can add an upload drop zone to your landing page by doing the following:

1. Select Quick Upload from the Add a Widget
2. Click Save.
3. Move and use the Expand and Shrink buttons to position your new drop zone.
4. Click Save Widgets to save your landing page.

My Work

To show your indexing batch grid on your landing page:

1. Select My Work from the Add a Widget
2. Click Next Page.
3. Enter the Number of Batches to Show in your new widget.
4. Move and use the Expand and Shrink buttons to position your widget.
5. Click Save Widgets to save your landing page.
