We wanted to let you know that starting Feb. 1, 2021, KnowledgeLake will no longer be supporting Microsoft Internet Explorer, and after this date, your KnowledgeLake Cloud Platform may not perform as expected within Internet Explorer.
We recommend making the switch to a supported browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
KnowledgeLake always strives to support the browsers most requested by our clients and will periodically update our supported browser list. In order to limit any disruptions in your support strategy, we recommend making the update as soon as possible.
Why is KnowledgeLake doing this?
In 2015, Microsoft released the Edge browser as an eventual replacement for Internet Explorer. Due to this, Internet Explorer no longer receives major updates that address security issues and add functionality that complex web apps like KnowledgeLake need in order to operate successfully.
KnowledgeLake strives to deliver quality products that meet our customers’ needs. The increasing gap between Internet Explorer 11 and all other browsers has made that increasingly difficult. Supporting Internet Explorer limits our technology choices and hinders our ability to deliver the reliability and functionality our users expect.
What does this mean for me if I don’t switch?
At the End of Support milestone on February 1, 2021, you may experience partial loss of functionality within the KnowledgeLake Cloud Platform if you do not switch to another supported browser.
What do I need to do?
We recommend updating your systems to ensure that your KnowledgeLake users are accessing the KnowledgeLake Cloud through a supported browser.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your account manager.
Thank you,
The KnowledgeLake Product Team
